The Study On The Export Competitiveness Of Zhejiang Province's Textile And Clothing Industry

Zhejiang is a productive province in textile and clothing, and its export of textile and clothing ranks first in the country. Textile and clothing industry is the mainstay of the province's industry production and export. With global textile and clothing trade coming into"post quote time", Zhejiang's textile and clothing industry will meet great developing opportunity; meanwhile, it will also have to face more extensive, complicated, spiculate and furious competition. In the new situation, how to keep and upgrade the industry's export competitiveness continuously not only has relation with the durative, well and steady development of Zhejiang province's economy, but also is important to the durative and steady development of our country's textile and clothing industry. The study of the export competitiveness's actuality, status, main influential factors and relevant countermeasure has practical meaning and academic value.In virtue of relevant study production, this paper establishes a theory base, quantitative and qualitative analysis frame which are emphasized particularly on the analysis and evaluation of Zhejiang textile and clothing industry's export competitiveness. On the base of statistic indexes'measurement and transverse, selective comparison, the cognition of the industry's export competitiveness is fairly intuitionistic and clear.The quantitative analysis of this paper begins with the selection of common indexes that are used to evaluate export competitiveness and simple description of measuring method, and then these indexes are measured step by step with recent years'statistic. The indexes of Zhejiang province are compared with the domestic main export provinces and foreign main export countries. The detailed course of measurement and analysis is Zhejaing province first, and then domestic provinces; single index first, and then integrative compositor by factor analysis. After that, clustering analysis is used to prove the veracity of the compositor.The qualitative analysis of this paper is based on Porter's"diamond model", and it emphasizes particularly on three influential factors: industry circumstance, products and corporations, by which preparatory and fairly systemic analysis of Zhejiang Province's export competitiveness is made. The discovery from the above study is that the textile and clothing's export competitiveness of Zhejiang province is distinctly superior to other domestic provinces, and compared with the countries that threaten the textile and clothing's export of our country, Zhejiang also has obvious predominance. But compared with international advanced level, there is a gap in the factor of product and corporation which are the bases of export competitiveness. Finally, the domestic and foreign circumstance of Zhejiang textile and clothing industry's export are prospected, while combined with existing problems, some strategies are put forward.On the base of previous researches, biggish basic measurement and evaluation are made in this paper, and it attempts to innovate in the following aspects:Firstly, the object of this study is a typical industry of a typical province. The analysis and evaluation of such export competitiveness is unseen in existing researches, so this paper is an attempt in such study and also a matting of further study.Secondly, on the base of commonly used quantitative indexes, multi-aspects comparison and compositor are made between Zhejiang province and the other nine domestic provinces, which make the textile and clothing's export competitiveness of Zhejiang province more intuitionistic and clearer.Thirdly, the countries threatening the textile and clothing's export of our country are selected to compare with Zhejiang province, and an elementary fundamental for selecting compared countries is also established.
