| Continuous advances in manufacturing information coupled with the recent proliferation of grid technology have led development efforts for a new model of network manufacture, Manufacturing Grid. In a Manufacturing Grid, each company, regarded as a node in this grid, may hold some special manufacture equipments. Then, when one company wants to accomplish the production of some products, it can refer itself to other companies and cooperates with them. As a result, without any extra investment, these cooperated companies can share their design, throughputs, sale and services etc. Due to these, Manufacturing Grid has received a great deal of attention in recent years.Firstly, this dissertation expatiate the conception of Manufacturing Grid. And based on the conception, it introduces the conception of manufacturing resources and its constitution. Then it introduces the genetic algorithm in detail and some applications in practice.Secondly, when dealing with the issue of manufacturing resources selection, it consists of three steps. The first one, it erects the evaluation index by analyzing the characters,hierarchy and the resources integrated system of manufacturing resources. The second one, it defines some methods of calculation for some key variables and establishes the calculation model of the adaptive value. The third one, with the genetic algorithm of nature number code, it selects the best combination of manufacturing resources based on the model of the adaptive value.Finally, based on theory research, this dissertation programs a simulation program of resources optimum selection to verify the validity of the genetic algorithm with nature number code. It simulates the co-produce procedure of the reality through a virtual product's process by the simulation program of resources optimum selection. At the same time, the program calculates the value for every combination of manufacturing resources. By MATLAB, it describes a trend picture with these values.
