Design And Development Of Workshop Job And Material Flow Management In Small & Medium Manufacturing Enterprises

With the fierce competition of the market, information management consequentially becomes the best choice for SMMEs (Small & Medium Manufacturing Enterprise)which aim to improve competitive capacity and promote continuous development. The role of workshop management as the core of enterprise production management is becoming more prominent during the construction of enterprise information management. As the primacy department of production management in the enterprise, workshop not only plays the role of medial link, but also have the function of process control and information feedback. Therefore, in order to make the construction of enterprise information management perfect, it is necessary to intensify the information management of workshop. Without fine management of workshop, fine management of workshop and locale are impossible.This paper is established in the practical project of the information management system (MIS) for certain redirector limited company. On the base of the first stage development of MIS, aiming to the demands and problems in workshop management of SMMEs, the second stage of MIS develops the modules of workshop job and material flow management after further investigation.The second stage system realizes the integration with the first stage system, on the platform of .NET, meanwhile, with the data-base server of SQL Server.The general layout of the MIS, inclusion of the module instruction in the first stage and the design of the second stage are explained in this paper. The second stage system includes the modules of workshop job management and workshop material flow management. The status of manufacture is analyzed, and the process of the workshop material flow is modeled in the part of workshop material flow management. The modules of workshop job preparation with the function such as capacity, materials and lead time demands are designed ,furthermore, the method based on some algorithms of code and decode are designed in the part of job-shop scheduling management.By the combination between basic knowledge of information management and practical management condition in the workshop, one set of information system which is adapt with SMMEs is designed and developed.
