Research On Quantity Discount In Supply Chain Management

Supply chain management (SCM) which is the main management model in modern enterprises becomes a hot research field, both in management theory and application. Supply chain channel members' behaviors making decisions to maximize their own profits without regard to others and supply chain system's objects will impact the whole supply chain profit inevitably, so coordination and corporation are the core problems in SCM. One coordination method of supply chain is supply chain contract that increases supply chain system and its members' margins. Now this method is applied to SCM practice in large scale.After analyzing and summarizing a large volume of domestic and foreign literatures on SCM, this paper focuses on analyzing quantity discount be applied to a two-stage supply chain coordination and designs the optimal supply chain quantity discount in different customer demand successfully. Based on electron and computer supply chain features, this paper designs quantity discount and revenue sharing contract to harmonize supply chain under fixed demand. In chapter5, it introduces SCM and quantity discount in SAMSUNG for the purpose of quantity discount application in Chinese companies.We get the following conclusion after calculation: no matter customer demand is fixed or unfixed, retailers will increase their orders which will improve SC and its members' profits if the suppliers offer appropriate quantity discounts, so quantity discount contract is one effective way to achieve supply...
