Studies On Motivation Mechanism Of Researching And Developing Organization

In 21^st century when knowledge plays a crucial role in economy, a researching and developing department is becoming more and more important in an enterprise. Both high-tech enterprises and traditional enterprises are faced with the challenge of managing researching and developing personnel. It is of great significance to investigate their motivation issues.From the perspective of Organization Behavior, this thesis first analyzes the characteristics of researching and developing personnel, then discusses about the motivating mechanism common to most researching and developing departments based on motivation theories, and finally proposes a specific plan to solve the problems with the motivating mechanism of Researching and Developing Center of COBY (Shenzhen).This thesis consists of six parts.Part 1 introduces the research background, explains the general organization and sets up the theoretical framework.Part 2 reviews the related motivation theories in order to establish a theoretical basis for proposing a motivating mechanism.Part 3 analyses the characteristics of researching and developing organizations and researching and developing personnel.In Part 4, we discuss about the principles and strategies for researching and developing organizations to follow and use in making motivating mechanisms. Furthermore, we come up with specific motivating plans for the personnel on different levels in the researching and developing organizations at various developing stages.On the basis of previous two parts, we introduce the motivating mechanism of Researching and Developing Center of COBY (Shenzhen), point out its problems, and suggest a certain scheme and some specific measurements to improve the existing motivating mechanism.Finally, the sixth part summarizes the main contents of the whole thesis and points out the directions for further research.
