The manufacturer's success bases on the ability of confirming consumer' s requirements and rapidly developing the new product which meet consumer' s requirements with low cost., it' s necessary to solve the marketing problem, the designing or manufacturing problem, and product development problems with all these functions.Under the background of the present study of new product concept development, this dissertation uses product development process as the research object, points out that the opening stage development (including product programming stage and product concept development stage) is a very important phase during the whole product development stage. By making detailed research & analysis on the opening stage, the dissertation points out that the analysis of consumer' s requirements is the most important factor of product development, the success of product development is decided by identifying & catching consumer's requirements. Considering the importance of consumer' s requirements, this dissertation systemically describes how to identify & catch the consumer' s requirements.After well understanding the consumer' s requirements, we need to change the consumer' s requirements to product property. This dissertation briefly analyzes the intension of product property, and describes the importance of changing the consumer' s requirements to product property.Finally, this dissertation introduces QFD method --- a kind of theory & model of changing the consumer' s requirements to product property. By using the House of Quality, QFD analyzes the relationship between consumer' s requirements and project measures with statistics, and changes the consumer' s requirements to product design requirements, accessory characteristics, technical requirements and manufacturing requirements by using multi-level expansion of consumer' s requirements, and it well achieves the changes from consumer's requirements to product property. But there are some limitation of traditional QFD on its calculation method, this dissertation points out three improvement schemes via the in-depth analysis of consumer' s requirements: unite the grade of left wall and right wall; modify the importance of consumer' s requirements by comparing the product to its competitors on meeting consumer' s requirements; modify & improve the importance of project measures by comparing the technical advantages to its competitors.
