Research Of Several Key Problems Concerning Internal Logistics Of Iron And Steel Works

The concept of logistics emerged from the appearance of commodity, developments of objects exchanging and changes of environment. With the formation of modern marketing notions, logistics theory gradually came into being, and became a science. With the huge benefits it brings to the national economy and corporate community, logistics was highly valued by people. Because the objects, aims, and scope of logistics are different, logistics have different types. In the inclusive category of logistics, corporate logistics has a close relationship with us, and becomes one of the focuses of research. In fact many national large scale enterprises have begun research in this respect and improved their internal logistics system. Some successful cases have also emerged.Logistics of iron and steel works is similar with other industries, mainly includes inbound logistics, internal logistics and outbound logistics. But as to the three kinds of logistics themselves, they show their specialties respectively. Now domestic iron and steel works have made a lot of research in inbound and outbound logistics. Some researches have been successfully used in practice. But in terms of internal logistics, domestic researches still stays at a low level. Compared with other industry, especially power, electricity and pharmaceutical industries, it still at start. Under the fierce competition home and abroad, problems caused by internal logistics are emerging from time to time, the related logistics cost remains high. The normal production schedule is interrupted and some kinds of chaos are caused. So, researches on internal logistics have great significances for reducing costs and enhancing competitive advantages. This researches requires the solving of a series of subjects from theory to practice. It is a systematic project.This paper introduces the main researches on internal logistics. After analyzing the logistics of iron and steel works, the research objects of this paper was put out. Mainly the internal reverse logistics concerning the rationally use of self produces scrap and the internal crossing logistics concerning the logistics between differentproduction lines. As to reverse logistics, this paper mainly use the system optimization method, the function aims at minimize logistics cost while the restrictions are the matching of the capacity. The model was validated by examples of Baosteel. As to crossing logistics, this paper introduces system simulation method. The famous software Witness was introduced to simulate the process behind pudding. At last the simulation results was analyzed and corresponding improving advice was put out.
