Research Of Change Trends And Policy On Guangdong Minimum Wage Standards

Reviewing the origin of minimum wage system, the thesis compare the character of Chinese and foreign minimum wage system.As doing study on Guangdong minimum wage standards, a collection of historical data about minimum wage standards and the influencing factors was did in major cities of Guangdong Province to analysis the change trend of minimum wage standards.Econometric models are used to reveal the development way of minimum wage. The synchronous of development of minimum wage and per capita GDP, the average wage of workers, the consumer price index and unemployment rate was compared.Then the result is gived as that adjustment on minimum wage standards was irrational.We also express minimum wage standards existed did not play its macro-control role in improving economic development and keeping social stability. Secondly,biases on minimum wage adjustmen are analysised in depth. Finally, specific policy recommendations of improving the minimum wage system are stated according with the economic and social development, providing reference materials for the government to amend the minimum wage.
