Study On Reverse Logistics Based On ICT

With the pressure of environment and the increasing need of natural resource, more and more attention is paid on reverse logistics which is according with the idea of cyclic economy. At the same time, information technology has been developing by leaps and bounds, and adopting extensively in logistics. Under this background, the paper discusses Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and probes into the relations between IT and reverse logistics. And the purpose of the paper lies on improving specific practice of reverse logistics with advanced ICT. The paper studies reverse logistics based on ICT. After an overview of scientific literature about reverse logistics, the paper mainly analyzes information technology which is applied to reverse logistics nowadays. With the application of ICT in reverse logistics, an ICT solution has been put forward with integration of logistics and reverse logistics from three stages of the whole movement of product (including design, recycle and return). In addition, the paper takes RFID as an example and introduces its innovating application.
