After several years' rapid development, the scale of Wuhan retailers is much bigger than before. However, with the fully opening of Wuhan retail industry, huge foreign retailers like Walmart, Carrefor, Metro, are opening more and more branches in Wuhan in order to enlarge their sales volume, so the competition between domestic and foreign retailers is becoming fiercer. A survey shows that the most importmant advantage of foreign retailers is therir adoption of the advanced SCM, which is also the main difference between domestic and foreign retailers. Therefore, many domestic retailers are adoptting SCM in order to set foot on the fierce market. As an importmant part of SCM, supplier relationship management (SRM) is an effective way for retailers to cut costs and gain profits, thus, domestic retailers are attaching more and more importance to SRM. The chain retailers are the core companies who face the terminal customers, but they still have many problems in adoptting SRM. Thus, this thesis mainly researches from the following respects:1. According to relative theories and methods of SRM, this thesis analyzes deeply the current situation and the significance of Wuhan retailers' SRM as well as the problems in their adopting SRM.Besides; this thesis also proves the necessities and feasibilities of applying SRM to Wuhan chain retailers.2. Based on the above-mentioned analysis, this thesis focuses on the implementation of SRM systematically.Firstly, the author constructs a mathamatics model to help Wuhan retailers to judge and select suppliers. In this model, the author defines the weight of every index for judging suppliers using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and judges every supplier scientifically by means of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE).Secondly, in view of the current situation of Wuhan retail industry, the author puts forwards some proposals and strategies for their implementing SRM.
