| The Yangtse Delta, the heartland of Yangtse's mouth and Eastern coast, is the intersection of Yangtse and coastland economic zones. Its developmental potential has kept ahead of the three metropolis zone. With the further deepening of national reform and opening up, the economic status of Yangtse Delta has been more obviously shown. Its development mode and conception will make great demonstration effect.This thesis has scientifically set the bound of Yangtse Delta with the theories of regional economics and sustainable development, and deeply analyzed the intergradation and the development trend.Because of the great difference of development level in Yangtse Delta, and lack of strong governmental policy guidance, driven by the motive of local profits, the regional incorporation macroscopically has met great difficulties. In addition, the behindhand industry development and the inconsequence of industrial structure have made great pressure to the environment in Yangtse Delta. The severe shortage of material and energy sources has astricted the scientific and rapid development in Yangtse Delta. The development mode supported by large amount of material and energy sources has met the end. To further carry out the scientific development conception and harmonious society construction, the Yangtse Delta has faced great challenge and responsibility.This thesis points out the long-term development of Yangtse Delta should discard outdated pattern which constitutes competition between resource consumption and simple manufacturer, keep sustainable development eyesight on resources, effectiveness and system and rely on function location to solve the competition problem.
