The Current Situation And Development Research For Chinese Incubator

First seen as a way to accelerate the growth of globe hi tech industries, business incubators have played an important role in technology innovation and social economic development. They help new companies reduce the chances of failure in the most critical early stages of development by providing support and experiences.In China, business incubators have been around for 15 years. In 1990s, Chinese business incubators have achieved great success. Up to now, business incubators in china are big in scale and still have a growing trend. However, compared to other countries in the world, especially the United States that has developed incubator industries, we found the current operation mode, orientated by Chinese government, will not benefit for the whole development of Chinese business incubators.The study makes an analysis about the current development situation of Chinese business incubators, the problems facing to us, together with the differences between the United States and China. Also taking Shanghai Zhang Jiang Hi-Tech Innovation Services Center as an example, the study shows us the difficulties incubator suffers from the changes to the market oriented operation mechanism.Therefore, the study puts forward the sustainable development strategy for the Chinese business incubator industry. That is, government would strengthen the construction of whole innovation system and take advantage of market-guided mechanism to develop incubators. For incubator, it would carry out self-innovation and reform from business model, service item, cooperation network and human resource structure to ensure the smooth and effective operation in the future.
