An Effective Government In Development Process Of Jinjiang's Clustered Industry

Strategic managerialist Michael E·Porter, an American, advanced a clustered industry theory firstly at the beginning of 1990s. He said that a clustered industry phenomenon is a powerful and continuous contest advantage which is centralized by many closely related businesses, and supported organizations, in a specially field which is a leading industry usually. As the theory is spread into China,"clustered industry theory", which has an important effect in local development, is coming to be a mainstream describing instruction in researching specialized industry area phenomenon.This thesis is on the basis of Michael E·Porter's clustered industry theory which brings two conceptions, uncontrolled environment and controlled environment, from industry economics. By analyzing the development of Jinjiang City's clustered industries, we can conclude that the government should bring a positive effect into playing, even nor the development of clustered industry is leading by market economy essentially. So, the Jinjiang Government should do like plan management and environment building works positively and constructively in clustered industries development, to offer some suggestions for other city.The first part of this thesis introduces briefly the related theories about clustered industry and government effect. It mainly describes about clustered industry which include the characteristic, the development significance and the government effect by Adam Smith, Max Weber, Marshall and Michael E·Porter.The secondly, this thesis introduces briefly the current situation and characteristic of Jinjiang's clustered industries. The current situation is that there are textile, shoe, ceramics, food, toy and umbrella industries in Jinjiang City. The characteristic is that there are quiet a bit of excellence enterprises, renowned brand, advanced technology and equipment, quiet b bit of human resources and a big market.The thirdly, this thesis introduce mainly the government effect in the development process of Jinjiang's clustered industries. By analyzing the developing and difficulties of Jinjiang's clustered industries and debating the importance of government effect pro and con, we conclude that the local government should put a positive effect into playing in developing Jinjiang's clustered industries.
