Labor force flow exists not only in one country but the cross-border labor force flow also occurs at times. The labor force flow among different regions has brought a series of economic and social problems and the phenomenon of income gap among the laborers has attracted wide attention in reality and aroused controversy in economic theory as well. Based on this reality, this paper focuses on the labor force flow's influence on the change of income gap in our country. First of all, this paper states and evaluates the economic theory related to this problem; next, this paper analyzes the impact on the income gap between urban and rural dwellers caused by the labor force flow between urban and rural areas in our country; last, this paper makes an analysis of the impact on the inter-regional income gap due to the labor force flow among different provinces.The paper mainly consists of three parts. The first part elaborates and also comments on several major economic theories related the relations between the labor force flow and income gap. These theories are mainly: neoclassicism, structuralism, theories of transfer and constringency in neoclassicism and international trade model. From the perspective of basic thought, the conflict between the main viewpoints of neoclassicism and structuralism is essentially the contradiction between equilibrium and non-equilibrium, while the theories of transfer and constringency concentrates on introducing the interregional labor force transfer and interregional income constringency into growth model of neoclassicism to analyze related problems.
