Regional forestry economic development is an important part of regional economic development. Thoroughly and systemically exploring the factors for the development of Beijing regional forestry economic, not only can help formulate policy and put forwards advices, but also can provide a scientific evidence for how to develop Beijing forestry economy.In this paper, 4 indicators were chosen to present the development of Beijing regional forestry economy. Then a theoretic frame for the factors from the regional economic point of view was designed. The frame consists of two levels: internal (demand and supply) and external. Then 12 year's data from 1993 to 2004 were chosen for the development of Beijing forestry economics and its factors and Canonical Correlation Analysis was used to study the factors of Beijing regional forestry economy.This paper innovate a new thought for the factors analysis. It studied two groups of multi-variables which break through the deficiencies of former studies: such as using single-variable analysis, studying growth instead of development, lacking quantitative analysis and so on.The result reveals that the demands level of non-wood forest products and national investment, the supply level of the input of production materials and human resources and the development of the region for the external level affect the development of Beijing regional forestry economy.
