Effect Of Lakatos's "Scientific Programmes" On Economics Methodology

From developmental history of economic methodology, western mainstream economics methodology can be classified into four phases: Firstly, it is the phase which methodology is adopted before positivism; Secondly, it is the phase of positivism; Thirdly, it is the phase which Popper's falsificationism is applied; Finally, it is the phase of historism. From the whole perspective, the research into of economics methodology is currently transforming from the positivism to historism and intergralism.In 1980, Lakatos's refinement falsificationism starts up the upsurge of hot debate and research since it is based on the combination of Popper's thought of with Kuhn's insights into historical methodology. His theory is adapted more to be applied in economics methodology than that of popper's. Lakatos thinks that the science theoretics are complicated, which is a integer with inherence structure, and a theoretics series are made of many theoretics. He puts forward science research programs for a basic unit in judging of theoretics, which is a series of relative theoretics with obviously continuity ,and must have three characters: a commonable rigidity nucleus, a assistact bracer with protecting rigidity mucleus, a illumine follow with science program's developing .If the experience content of a theoretics series has gained in, that, it should be scientific, which make the problem in reason about the dividing line standard between science and non-science is more accorded with science history, and that, lakatos exoatiates on the importance idea on"science philosophy should be combined with science history". His research programs have drawn in the essence and rationality out of prominent methodology in scientific philosophy, which indicating the present development of west science methodology have come into the new phase that"logic and history is united", which is significant enlightment to the study of economic methodology.In the thesis, we attempt to reveal the influence of Lakatos's refinement falsificationism upon economics methodology, by means of examining the application of scientific research methodology in the economics, reflecting on its achievements and limitation ,in order to qeneralize the positive and negative significance of the methodology. From the perspective of economics methodology,this paper provides proposals as suggestion for the construction of economic theory system especially in the period of transformation of economic systemin our country. Our hope is to work out and foresee different actual problems in the process of perfecting the market economy systen.under the guidance of Marxim ecomonics methodlogy, for the service of creating a charmonious society and construction of our socialism.
