Discussion About FMC

Communication convergence needs to conjoin with the operational development of Telecom Company, satisfies the demands of users and enhances core competences. This thesis discussed the FMC, by using several managerial theories. This research discussed the competitive environment of Telecom Company, analyzed it by using such methods of SWOT analysis, PEST analysis and Portfolio analysis. The core competence and the key factor of competition could be confirmed through them. Aiming at the characters of Fixed Telecom Company and Mobil Telecom Company, this research gave a new mode to develop the Telecom Company and put forward three strategic projects. The first project is to add HLR on the terminal section andSSP for defending the investment of fixed network fully; The second project is torebuild Access GW and utilize NGN on tandem exchange; The third project is toconvergent fixed network and mobile network by IMS. After evaluating the three projects by suitability, feasibility and acceptability, analyzing the projects with Analytic hierarchy process, the best way is to choose the mode by the different terms and convergent two networks by IMS finally. In this way, the assets of the investor can be protected and state owned assets also can be defended and increased.
