Research On The Core Competence Of Service Industry In China

At 21st, the developing level of service economy has already become an important sign of scaling one country's economic modernization. Following Global Economy, our service industry will face more rivals which are not only service industry of our own country but also strong service industry of the whole world. Thus, the big country of service economy will be established by promoting the core competence of service industry to solve the employment pressure, improve the living level and reduce the differences between our country and developed countries.The paper firstly analyzes the meaning of core competence of service industry from many of aspects, and compares the current situations between our country and foreign countries.Secondly the paper constructs a series of evaluating system of core competence basing on characteristics of Chinese service industry. The system has principally made some achievements in measuring the core competence of service industry from six aspects such as service quality, management ability, service attitude, human resource factors, marketing ability and concept of value. The author describes the method of using the evaluation system through an assumption example to verify the rationality and the dependability of the evaluation system.Finally, the paper puts forward the exact method and path that promote core competence of service industry. The author hopes that it can offer some good suggestions for the rapid developing of service industry.
