With the development of multinational pharmaceutical enterprises in China, the domestic pharmaceutical enterprises will face more and more vigorous competitions and challenges. The product innovation is the key of the enterprise development. In the product innovation, R&D(Research and Development) personnel doubtlessly play a critical role, so it is very important for R&D personnel being excited fully in the process of running enterprises. The final purpose of the motivation is to develop the enterprise and the key is to learn about the demand of R&D personnel, while enterprises features on management are different because of different stages and requirements of R&D personnel being met continuously. So the enterprise developing stage is the most important reference factor in designing motivation mode. Therefore,the author discusses and researches the demand of R&D personnel of xi'an pharmaceutical enterprise, mainly in the aspects of motivation mode research, the development stage(starting, growing up and mature three stages) of the pharmaceutical enterprise is main line, and assist it with the enterprise property, R&D personnel age, year income and sex.Firstly, This paper discusses the relevant motivation theories, including motivation theory in management and economy, sums up the current research of R&D personnel motivation;secondly,it analyzes current situation of pharmaceutical enterprise, features of R&D personnel, and motivation measurements. Based on theoretical analysis and actual interview result, the thesis puts forward related hypotheses on the different demand of R&D personnel, designs questionnaire and makes surveys. Then the thesis uses SPSS 11.5 software for statistic analyses on the survey data of 225 effective questionnaires from over 30 pharmaceutical enterprises to verify the rationalization of hypotheses and build up motivation mode of R&D personnel. Finally, the paper cites A company as an example to propose the specific suggestions of motivation for R&D personnel according to motivation mode. The paper comes the major conclusion as follows:(1)At the different stage of enterprise development, the demands of R&D personnel have significant differences for the motivation measurements.At the starting stage of enterprises, the demand degree of R&D personnel for the motivation measurements focus on individual growth most, then working environment, salary and welfare, business achievement, stock right and option by people of the same occupation in...
