Chinese gum rosin is one of the most important non-wood forest products of Chinese forestry chemical industry, and one of the very special export forest products, which is one of the Chinese support industries. China is the only country that takes the first place in both the output and export all over the world, producting more than 60 ten thousand tons each year, above 50% of the world total production, and 70% or so of the world trade amount, 0.15 billion US dollar.Obviously, Chinese gum rosin has its special advantanges. But, against the inside and outside competitive situation, the traditional relative advantanges, industry structure, etc. are going to not fit the competitive environment nowadays.The main idea of this article is to do some research work on how to strengthen the competitive advantages through the international market, to accelerate the international trade in a good cycle and continuous development of the Chinese gum rosin itself in the ardent international market.The core of the article is to bring forward some competitive strategies for Chinese gum rosin, adopting theory and demonstration analyse together, depending on Porter's competitive advantage theory, competitive strategy, swot model, etc., disposing data, using practical experience for reference on Chinese gum rosin international trade. And finally, put forward the competitive strategy for Chinese gum rosin international trade.Through various analysis, the article is to offer strategies for the competitive power on the international market, and do some contribution for the international trade of Chinese gum rosin.
