Rural Courtyard Research On The Base Of Sustainable Development

The new rural reconstruction becomes the important matters which the government cares about. In February 2006, Party's 16 session of Fifth Plenary Session passed through "the Central Committee of the CCP about Formulates National economy And Social Developments 11th Five Year Plan Suggestion", which explicitly proposed the significant historic tasks of construction of new socialist countryside, and emphatically strengthened the villages' plan and the management of the human settlements. The sustainable development has obtained various positive responses since proposed. The courtyard plays an important role in the everyday activities of the villagers, but there is very little attention. The courtyard research in countryside for sustainable development not only contents the requests of time, but also meets the intrinsic needs of village life itself.Based on the theories of sustainable development and ecology, the meaning and contents of the sustainable courtyard research was proposed from the practices of sustainable human settlements consrtuction and the couryard 's management as views from traditional culture in the article.On the bases of above research, it was concluded that the investigations of layout, production and living in Hecun Village's courtyard in the paper, and analyzed that the sustainable courtyard on production system, environment system, water resources using system, and energy system, and then the assumption of sustainable couryard fit Huocun Village was put forward. Finally, it was proposed that the views of the construction of sustainable courtyard from the social culture vision: 1) Compelled and heredity sustainable; 2) Discussed the courtyard construction and environmental ethics); 3) Self-construction courtyard, joint-development courtyard and human being development. As a consistently studies for the Earthhouse 003 and 004, which is the pilot project coorperated by Rural Architecture Studio, James Yen rural reconstruction institute and Hecun Cooperative in Lankao Huocun village, the sustainable courtyard mode was put forward. The methods in this topic may provide consults for other areas ,though the courtyard plan modes perhaps just fit for the particular area. The investigations and studies are expected to enrich the contents and the practices of the new rural reconstruction.
