Quantitative Study On City People's Consuming Behavior In Chengdu

Consuming is the basic motive to arouse one country or one area's economy increases, and its behavior of people is the internal factor to influence consumption directly. The consuming of city people make a great contribution to the hole society's economy, which keeps on the stability increase, and the change of consuming behavior will cause the change of the market supply. On the other hand, the city's economy plays an important role in our country's economy, and his development level will influence the development speed of our country's economy directly. So, it is necessary for us to make the deep research on our city people's consuming behavior.Chengdu is the center city of Sichuan province, and is the economic cultural interaction center too; and his development situation will influence and decide the development of perimeter city and rural economy. From the statistics data, the consuming of Chengdu city people is 36.9 percent of the Sichuan province's; is higher than other all cities; and is the core constitute part of all Sichuan province people. This shows that, to control the basic consuming circumstance of Chengdu city people accurately, and to analyze the consuming behavior of Chengdu city people objectively, which have the strong truth Guide meaning to establish the reasonable Industry policy, and lead the right consuming of city people.This article uses the consuming theories of Econometrics to proceed the quantitative study on Chengdu city people's consuming behavior, and to explore the basic characteristics and consuming regulation of Chengdu city people. This article proceed to research from three aspects: first of all, is to research the consuming level of city people, use the consuming function to see through the consuming level, and adopt the data, which is from the statistics from 1978 to 2003 year, to establish the ECM model. This model reflects the basic characteristic in consuming demand of Chengdu city people at the present: the MPC is lower, and the valid need is shortage.
