With China joining World Trade Organization, the global and national pharmaceutical corporations are being led to face directly with the challenges and enormous changes because of the external competitions and internal reformations which require the improvement of technology renovation strategies to suit the environment and develop much quickly.Technology renovation refers to the economic and technological activities relate to the R&D,production and business application of new technology. The purpose of renovation is to enhance the core competition capabilities that can achieve the sustainable development for the corporations by the way of designing, research, introducing new technologies and putting them into production.Technology renovation strategy is the important portion and key content of strategy management. It is so important to choose effective technology innovation strategies and to improve the core competition capability according to the particular characteristics of different corporations. Comparing with developed countries which have already concentrated on researching in the industry for decades of years, there is a huge distance in the area of scale, capital, technology, R&D, investment and researching production between leading national pharmaceutical corporations and west pharmaceutical corporations because China is on the way of establishing and improving socialist market economy. It is quite clear that the technology renovation strategy modes of leading pharmaceutical corporations in China should be different with those of global top pharmaceutical corporations. Based on the comparison, it is the primary task especially for the representative corporations in China such as Taiji Group to research for suitable strategies of technical renovation aiming at long term development.In this article the essential theories of technology renovation strategy were systematically expatiated. The strategy modes selected by global and chinese leading pharmaceutical corporations such as Taiji Group were analyzed and evaluated. The motivational mechanisms and the modes of the technology innovation strategies of Taiji Group were discussed and omni-directionally from each point of view.
