Research On The Development Of Cluster Of Privately-Run Businesses At Chongqing City

The privately-run businesses of Chongqing City have developed largely after Chinese Economic revolution. Moreover, the motorcycle, shoe, hardware, textile and wholesale market, have become to clusters of privately-run businesses with large scale. These clusters concentrate the production resources with high efficiency, which promote the economic development of Chongqing City. However, some problems showed up in the process of cluster development, which impeded the further development of the clusters at Chongqing City, and affected the economics and the competition of Chongqing City. So, it is necessary to find out the existing problems of the clusters and work out the corresponding solution strategies.This paper firstly introduced the definition, the theories, the characteristics, the advantages and research status of cluster of enterprise. The author also proposed the concept of cluster of private-run business, and showed the necessity of research on the clusters of private-run business at Chongqing City. Secondly, this paper systematically analyzed the current status of cluster of private-run business at Chongqing City, and the results showed that the formation of clusters was a reasonable consequence of the development of private-run businesses at Chongqing City. The paper also stressed that the existing problems will impede the further development of clusters of private-run business at Chongqing City. Finally, based on the local properties of clusters of private-run business at Chongqing City, and the lessons and experiences of clusters of the world and east of China,the author proposed a series of strategies to solve the existing problems from the stands of private-run businesses, clusters and government.The first innovation of this paper is to use'cluster'to study the aggregation of private-run businesses at Chongqing City and define five characteristic clusters of private-run business at Chongqing city. Based on the theoretic analysis of cluster private-run businesses at Chongqing City by using cluster theories, the second innovation is to propose that the formation of clusters of private-run business is the consequence of development. The final innovation is to find the existing problems in the development of clusters at Chonging City and to propose corresponding solution strategies.
