Currently, false drugs flood our domestic traditional Chinese medicines' market in absence of a scientific traceability system of medicine. Without the existence of such system, some medicine enterprises incline to achieve short-term goals at the cost of sustainable development. Therefore, one traditional Chinese medicines traceability system must be implemented to protect patients against potential harms and to prevent our country's medicine industry from being jeopardizedThis traceability system is risk management system containing procedures regarding planting, processing, circulating and exploiting of Chinese traditional medicines. With modern information technology, such system digitizes the information of each medicine for future reference. In case of emergencies such as any unexpected allergic reaction occurs after intakes of certain medicine, medical practitioners can track down the source of the drug's information in the system and take immediate relevant actions to prevent further damages.This thesis tries to provide detailed explanation of traditional Chinese medicines traceability and its constitution from planting to exploiting. With systematic analysis approach, the author expects this thesis to be informative material in the field of medicine traceability. However, it has to be pointed out that further research into cost management and technological analysis is needed to make the medicine tractability system more perfect.To conclude, the traditional Chinese medicines traceability system is of great assistance either to cope with drug problem or to reduce damages when any symptomatic reaction occurs.
