Research On Reverse Logistics Supplier Selection Based On Analytic Network Process Method

Reverse logistics and forward logistics constitute a total logistics. Reverse logistics and forward logistics has many different characteristics. A lot of enterprises are not familiar with reverse logistics processes. So the first problem when the enterprise decides to implement reverse logistics is choosing a suitable reverse logistics supplier according to its own need in reverse logistics. The solution of this problem has an indelible effect on the development of reverse logistics.This article identifies selecting reverse logistics providers as the theme. The second part of the paper analyzes the specificity of reverse logistics in China based on a number of fundamental studies and practical experience of enterprises, then discusses the differences between reverse logistics and forward logistics. Analytic Network Process (ANP) not only takes account of the interaction between different groups but also takes the interaction of elements in a same group into account. So ANP is more in line with the actual situation. Part three of the paper analyzes the differences between choosing reverse logistics provider and forward logistics provider. Then design a comprehensive, practical evaluation system based on the established principles after synthesizing the evaluation system of previous studies. Part four makes sure the relationship between the different indexes based on the existing evaluation system and use ANP to build the network model. After determining the influence coefficient, uses an example to choose a reverse logistics supplier and help the enterprises to prove the availability of the evaluation system and evaluation method. This paper provides a reference for the selection of reverse logistics suppliers through the evaluation system and the network model.
