A Study On Space Changes Of Urban Village

With the quick expansion of urban areas and rapid urbanization, villages on the border of urban areas become a special area called Urban Village. Accompany with the space changes of village, a series of social and environment problems appear. Therefore, it is extremely necessary to research the space changes of village in urban fringe. Taking Anning district in Lanzhou city as an example, this paper studies space changes and characteristics of village in urban fringe in the process of urbanization, analyzes the driving factors of that and finds out the problems existing during the process. Based on these studies, this paper puts forward to the appropriate measures and suggestions for the coordinated development of urban and rural areas.This paper is mainly divided into three parts, seven chapters.The first part is the introduction, which briefly presents the background and significance of topic, the present status, content, methods and the theory basic of this paper.Concluding five chapters, the second part researches the space changes of village of Anning district in Lanzhou city. In the second chapter, it tells how to definite the concept and characters of urban village, introduces the present status of Anning district and the space changing process of urban village in Anning district. The third chapter analyzes the space changes of urban village from three different angles. The forth chapter analyzes the problems following the space changes and then concludes that the ecological, economic and social factors should be taken into consideration in the changes of urban village. The fifth chapter discusses the pros and cons of urban village in Anning district, points out the role of urban village in civilization and the problems following the changes. The sixth chapter puts forward the measures and suggestions to the optimization of urban village.The last part is the seventh chapter. It comes to the conclusion and also sums up the shortcomings of the paper and looks forward to the future studies.
