Knowing the capacity, is very important for a waterway's design and plan, as well as construction scale. The traditional calculation of waterway capacity is artificial. It is wasting time and inaccurate. As the result, the designed capacity can not meet the requirement, and the waterway reconstruction is frequently occurred. The study uses computer to simulate the operation of a waterway, and calculate the capacity. In this way, we can save the cost and make the result more accurate.The study put forward the analysis based on simulation. On comparision and analysis of different calculation method, the study improved the arithmetic. In this study, the requirements are waterway length, waterway wide, vessel tonnage, vessel length, proportion of deferent vessel, safe distance, average operate day, etc. The study use Discrete-event System Simulation theory to build the mold, and get waterway capacity through Promodel.At last, the study takes Su Shen Nei Gang Xian for example, and set up the simulation mold. After simulation and analysis, the study verified the probability and validity of the simulate system.
