In the 21st century, company competition relies on quality, innovation and speed. The human resource management system (HRMS) is the key of creating quality, innovation and speed. Company believes that HRMS which is matching with the company strategy and the developing stage would facilitate the improvement of company performance. The researches of theoretical and empirical results in HRMS promoting company performance were tending to be uniform by scholars at home and abroad. And call it as high performance work system (HPWS). But based on the specific cultural background, specific industry, adapted to different strategies and developing stages, the researches are still seldom. Therefore, how to establish of HPWS appropriating specific industry, and apply this system to guide the practices of specific companies have become real issues.At first, this article determined the content of HPWS in food chain industry by literatures. Then it verified the contents of the HPWS through content analysis and case studies in well-known enterprises, such as strictly recruitment and selection, formal performance appraisal, rewards, employee competition and discipline, information sharing, employee participation, extensive training, internal labor market, horizontal match and vertical match. Secondly, it analyzed statistically the status of Caoyuanmuge service workers and the HRMS. Results showed that company's employees are in lower educational level and higher turnover, and there were significant differences between the staffes which in base and which in middle-high in strictly recruitment and selection, employee participation, information sharing, internal labor market. Thirdly, we combined the mediation mechanism model of HPWS (Su Zhongxing) and qualitative simulation to simulate the running process. Then input the status Caoyuanmuge to initial state of the model. The results indicated that to increase the present status of human resource management system in Caoyuanmuge is conducive to improving the business performance. At last, based on the results of qualitative simulation model and the problems in the company, we proposed reform measures to improve the business performance.This study not only help Caoyuanmuge improve the human resources management and the corporate performance, but also has a strong reference for the establishment of HPWS and the improvement of performance in the whole chain restaurant industry by promoting the operational mechanisms of the HPWS.
