Globalization makes the impact of trade on economic development of different countries much deeper. As services industries is growing and the industrial structure is upgrading, international trade balance and trade competitiveness of the countries participated are evolving. When we look at the history of international trade, foreign trade of different countries experienced different evolution process. This difference exists not only between developed and developing countries, but also among developed countries. For example, the United States has a continuous trade surplus in services, while in Japan, by contrast, it has a continuous surplus in merchandise trade. Traditional international trade theory explained this difference from the aspects of different endowment. The modern theory of international trade analyzes it from economies of scale, consumer preferences and other aspects that have influence on the comparative advantage.Economic structure, as a factor that has a close relationship with trade structure, has not been taken seriously enough yet. We involve it in our analysis by using experimental and theoretical method. In the quantitative analysis part, we establish two econometric models. On the study of the relationship between economic structure and trade structure, previous studies mainly focus on the impact of trade structure on the economic structure and economic growth. This Paper takes the proportion of services exports to total exports and trade in services surplus as two key variables to reflects foreign trade structure. Finally, we got the conclusion that, increase of the proportion of services sector to total GDP has a greater influence services exports for the countries that has a continuous trade in services surplus, like USA. But for those have continuous surplus in goods trade, capital accumulation plays a more important role to promote services export.
