With small and medium enterprises growing, knowledge workers, as the carrier of knowledge, have a more prominent position in small and medium enterprises. How to enhance the knowledge workers'initiative and creativity in small and medium enterprises and improve the knowledge workers'efficiency has been a important problem that many small and medium enterprises concern about. Small and medium enterprises and knowledge workers have their own specialties, so it has great significance that studying the incentive factors which impact knowledge workers'initiative in small and medium enterprises, for improving enterprise management of small and medium enterprises and strengthening small and medium enterprises'competitiveness in the market.On the basis of incentive theory and the study about knowledge workers'incentive factors in domestic and foreign, aimed at knowledge workers in small and medium enterprises, this paper designed the questionnaire by using empirical research methods. By anonymous survey, this paper studied the influence, that is, incentive compensation, achievement incentive, growth incentive and work environment incentive, on the degree of knowledge workers'total incentive in small and medium enterprises. And through empirical analysis, it put forward some corresponding suggestions. Firstly, this paper reviewed knowledge workers'incentive factors in domestic and foreign, and introduced related theory about incentive. Secondly, it analyzed the status quo and problem on knowledge workers'incentive in small and medium enterprises, and presumed knowledge workers'motivational model in small and medium enterprises. Thirdly, it conducted an empirical analysis to hypothesis posed by theoretical model, and analyzed the result of the questionnaire using the methods, such as reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis and analysis of variance. And it came to a conclusion that in four incentive factors growth incentive and work environment incentive have remarkable influences on knowledge workers'incentive in small and medium enterprises. In addition, in control variables, knowledge workers in different age, length of service and the nature of work in small and medium enterprises, their feeling inspired is also different. Finally, it put forward some related strategies and recommendations to knowledge workers'incentive in small and medium enterprises, and made a brief description to the lack of this paper and further research.
