The implementation of ERP system is a systematically complex project. It is also a high-cost and high-risk investment. Although domestic and foreign enterprises are chasing to implement ERP to assist their business in recent years, the successful rate is really low. It has been a hot point to evaluate the necessity and effectiveness of ERP implementation for both domestic and foreign academic and enterprise industry.According to the characteristics of ERP implementation, combined with the study of implementation process, implementation risk as well as the significance of ERP implementation, a set of evaluation indicator system is designed for ERP implementation by considering four principles including scientificity, guidance, comparability and feasibility. The indicator system is divided into three categories including project control, project participants'satisfaction and project environment. This indicator system fully reflects the influence of different factors in the process of ERP implementation. After establishing the indicator system, the weighting of different indicators is assigned so that the indicators can reflect the influence to ERP implementation accurately and truly. Afterwards, the discriminant analysis is conducted by collecting data from questionnaires sent to the people who have experience of ERP implementation to find effective regression model. It is a valid tool for evaluating and predicting the effectiveness of ERP implementation project.
