| The Chinese economy has maintained a rapid growth since the reform and opening up to the outside world, and gain remarkable achievements. meanwhile, with the gradual enhancement of environmental protection consciousness, the overall environmental protection investment increases year by year. And that the scale and efficiencyits of environmental protection investment is directly related to the environmental quality and the degree of environment improvement, in addition, it will affect the sustainable development of economy, society and environment consequently.It's important to understand the impact that environmental protection investment on the regional economic growth, and study how to maximize the positive influence of existing environmental protection investment on economic growth particularly.Based on the analysis that the comprehensive impact which environmental protection investment on economic growth,we establishe the model of the impact environmental protection investment on economic growth, then do regression analysis based on 2003-2008 panel data of 31 provinces and factor analysis of the estimation results. Through empirical analysis and normative analysis, this study comes to a conclusion:there are significant regional differences among regions in the output elasticity of environmental protection investment and the rate that environmental protection investment contribution to economic growth. We regard the following seven factors as the main causes for regional differences-level of economic development,environmental pressure,the use structure of environmental protection investment and so on. In order to maximize and make equalization the positive impact that environmental protection investment on the regional economic growth, we put forward following research conclusion on the basis of theoretical analysis ahead:first,to adjust the use structure of national environmental protection investment;second,to increase the degree of marketization of environmental protection investment;third,to promote environmental technology progress vigorously;at the last,to plan the using direction on environmental protection investment more correctly. |
