With the enormous losses of the global economy caused by the climate change resulting from the greenhouse gas emissions, the development of low-carbon economy is gradually becoming focus topic in international community. The automobile industry is one of the pillar industries in national economy, but also is an industry with the characteristics of high consuming and high emissions. China's economic development has attracted many developed countries to transfer their auto manufacturing industry to china, which presents a great pressure on environmental protection in China, such as oil shock, municipal pollutions as well as traffic jams and so on. The low-carbon economy is a new economic development model with lower energy consumption, emission and pollution as well as higher performance, efficiency and effectiveness, which can achieve higher output with less greenhouse gas emissions. It will become the only way to maintain our sustainable development. Obviously, the traditional automobile industrial development model has impeded the development of low-carbon economy, therefore, it should be changed into the low-carbon industry via technical innovation to adapt the low-carbon economic development. The theories of this article is based on low-carbon economy, the circular economy theory and the technological innovation theory, the paper will propose the concept, the connotation and the realization way of low-carbonization of automobile industry by referring to the experience and fruits of low carbonization reforming in the automobile industry at home and abroad. Applying the method of quantitative ecology, it will analyze the characteristic of Chinese automobile industry energy consumption and the carbon emissions for the past decades with the longitudinal historical data and the lateral contrast in different countries. It will also make an empirical research in the relations between the automobile industrial development and the carbon carbon footprint with the unhooked analysis method, which can dawn the conclusion that the automobile industry is developing in the high-carbonization model. Then, the paper will still try to summarize, analyze and absorb the auto industry transformation of low carbonation policy measures and experience of America, Japan, Europe and other developed countries, and finally will put forward a set of integration of four-dimensional method, which contains vehicles related enterprise, energy suppliers, government and automobile consumers.
