Simulation as a new method in evaluation and optimization should play an important role in evaluating logistics system and configuring enterprise resources reasonably. The combined technology of the discrete event simulation and ExtendSim simulation software can describe the operation characteristics of the logistics processes. We can analyze the logistics system effectively and be supported the decision-making by observing the changes of the performance indexes when the controllable parameters are changing. This paper can serve as an example-which the simulation will play an important role in the optimization of the work flow and the enterprise resource of the distribution center. The paper applies the idea of the discrete event simulation to the work flow simulation and the resource configuration optimization of the distribution center, and analyses the management and operation features of the distribution center. After the logical model of the distribution center established, the author introduces the ExtendSim software and then describe the function characteristics and the methods of modeling of ExtendSim. By using ExtendSim, the simulation model of the logistics operation process of the DC(Distribution Center) is established. In this paper, the main research content is establishing the model of the logistics operation process of the DC in WUHAN ZHONGBAI GROUP CO, LTD, after formulating of the boundaries in the simulation and setting the target of the simulation act. After the model tested and verified, we get the analysis report of the operation performance of the logistics system find the bottleneck of the logistics system and put forward the improving measures of the DC.Discrete event modeling and simulation is the new method used in the decision-making and the quantitative analysis of DC. In this paper, the feasibility of modeling of the logistics operation process of DC by using the advanced simulation software is explored and realized.
