According to domestic and international urban subway operation, it can be concluded that the overcrowded phenomena existing in metro during peak hours have seriously deteriorated the service quality and even caused the safety problems. In view that many stations and line segments is still low during off-peaks, condering temporal differentiation fares to shift partial peak demands to off-peaks might be promising to mitigate the overcrowded phenomena.Imposing peak surcharges or offering off-peak discounts can be considering in designing the temporally differential fare schemes.Firstly, according to different stages of subway operation, propose various pricing model to provide a theoretical basis for the ticket pricing. Considering the initial cost of subway operation, build the model based on the use of cost analysis to determine the scope of the fare. Given the time difference between congestion pricing theory, establish the time difference between metro pricing model for the maturity period of flow.Secondly, the stated preference survey method is used to obtain travel time and the situation of the residents selecting, and collect information on socio-economic characteristics. Finally, taking Hangzhou Metro for example, market research show that subway passengers are sensitive to fares. Increasing fares strategy will lead to more changes in travel time or transportation of passengers means than the low peak lower fare, and different trip purposes have different characteristics of passengers. The results show that the time differential pricing can effectively balance the uneven distribution of passenger flow, but may reduce the fare revenue. Finally according to the analyse of the lack of the research, provides recommendations to Hangzhou Metro and the direction of future research.
