Since 1990s of the 20`h century, World gradually enters the changing time of globalization, informatization and high competition. Changes profoundly influence our society, and also challenge the present organization form of enterprises. In the 1990s, Hammer et.al. presented the concept of business process reengineering, which is soon prevalent in the community of management. However, the scope of the business process reengineering is too narrow, and it is hard to analyze behaviors from the whole view, and usually ignores the impact on employees. Thus, the reforms of business process reengineering almost don't have any effect. How to overcome the limitation of the business process reengineering, construct the process-oriented organization that the characteristics of customer-oriented, process-based, flat structure, dynamic and integrated boundary is urgent need for the organization reform to adapt to the environment changes. In this dissertation, the problems of process-oriented organization have been explored from the aspects of the process orientation, system optimization, knowledge base and organization. In this paper, the function organization of Huawei transform to process organization conducted in-depth case studies, aims to build process-based organization,to provide ideas of organization change for enterprise reform.According to the organization change model proposed by N.M.Tichy, this study takes Huawei Company for example and puts forward a theoretical model about functional organizations'transformation to process type organizations. The change model includes eight main parts from change input to change output. Each part contains different key organization factors. The relationship among change parts is either weak or strong and it forms a closed loop transformation system. By drawing the chart of change model, the study explores a customer-centered transformation pattern during the transformation from functional organization to process type organization in Huawei, with organization goals, organization flow processes, organization structures and organization employees as its critical contents. And cross-functional team also plays an important role in process type organization.
