The Study On Driving The Development Of Regional Economy By The Central City Of Economic Zone On The West Side Of The Straits

With the new situation of rapid growth of economic globalization and industrial structure optimization, regional competition appears new pattern. The economic region on the west side of the Straits (following referred to as Hercynian ) strategy realized from local decision to central decision, from passive to active development as a breakthrough. Hercynian development presents the good situation, good state and good momentum .But compared to other peripheral region, such as Yangtze Delta River Region, Pearl River Delta and Taiwan, Hercynian remains a weak economic region. The integration of regional economy situation shows that regional competition has been largely depending on the competition between urban centers.Central cities in regional economic development have an important position and role. Center cities have the function of centralizing and diffusion. The centralizing function can make it become regional transferring, logistics, cash flow, technology information flow center , then creating effective favorable orderly elements rallying platform, promoting regional economic and social effective operation; the diffusion function-"radiant energy", accelerate the industrialization and urbanization, prompt area facilities joint effort, industrial interaction, market linkage and the coordinated development of regional economies. With its concentration and radiation ability, on one hand, it promotes the development of itself; on the other hand, it drives the development of the neighboring cities, thereby boosting the entire regional economic development. In view of this, this research thinking focused on"hercynian center cities on the regional economic development, the factors that effect hercynian pulling center cities'development, and further come up countermeasures to improve hercynian ability to pull regional economic development " . This research mainly adopts literature analysis, statistical analysis, factor analysis methods, realizing the qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis and normative analysis with empirical analysis combined. First, the article analyses the domestic and foreign research status and the related theories of central cities pulling regional economic development; Secondly, based on the analysis of hercynian center cities'development status, collecting related data, by using the method of factor analysis to explore the level that hercynian center cities on regional economic development and the factors that influence hercynian center cities'ability to pull regional economic development. Finally, unifies the related theory, and then put forward relevant countermeasures to improve the hercynian center cities and its ability to pull hercynian economic development. The article contains 6 chapters.The first chapter is introduction. It analyzes the background, significance, then concludes the domestic and international research status, expounds the research purpose, idea and method, frame, the technical route and innovations.The second chapter is about the main theoretical basis. Defines the economic region, urban centers, and regional economic related theory,Describes the theory of center cities on regional economic development role: Concentric Zone Theory, Central Place Theory, Growth Pole Theory, Core-edge Theory, Spot- axis theory etc. Then explains the analysis framework of central cities'role in pulling regional economic development. This part mainly from qualitative aspect introduced central city in regional economic development mode of action, and the status of central cities, and the influence factors in developing regional economy.The third chapter analyzed the situation of hercynian central cities. Analysis the economic of Hercynian; On specific analysis about hercynian center city fuzhou, xiamen, quanzhou, wenzhou, shantou development situation, found out its own development exist bottleneck, lay the foundation of center cities for analysis on regional economic development role;compares the central city of Economic Zone on the West Side of the Straits to the others.find out the development problems in hercynian central cities, highlight the necessity of improving center cities'ability to pull regional development .The fourth chapter evaluates the effect of hercynian central cities in pulling regional economic development. We select factor analysis method, through finding data and selecting related indexes by using factor analysis model, we concluded that the central cities'factor score in boosting regional economic development.Analyzed the influential factors of center cities in the economic zone on the west side of the Straits'on regional economic development. It mainly discussed from four aspects -the scale and industrialization level, city scale, the urban living environment and human capital contribution.The fifth chapter is countermeasures and suggestions. According to the factors that affect center cities'ability to pull regional economy, we come up with countermeasures and suggestions about how to boost urban centers'role in regional development.Mainly from reasonably determination the center cities development scale and goals, strengthen center cities'infrastructure construction, strengthen urban centre's and promote the industry supports ability, relying on scientific and technological progress and cultivation of introducing talents, build the finance-taxation policies as a good external environment. Put forward some suggestions for how to better play a role in boosting central cities on regional economic development service.The sixth chapter makes a conclusion about the article and discussed future research about those issues.
