The High-tech Products Trade Imbalances Of Sino-US And The Reasons

The imbalances of China and US has been a major global trade relations and the prominent problems in the bilateral trade, which cause the imbalance of the trade is one of the important factors, it is a kind of "abnormal" trade phenomenon, namely China's high technology products trade for America's continued surplus. The United States as technology power, in bilateral trade, it should be at the relative productivity of high technology industry, and have more exports. America's high technology products trade deficit doesn't conform to the principle of comparative advantage apparently of "The higher relative productivity, export more" and do not conform to H-O theorem, some scholars call it "the mysteries" of comparative advantage.Through to China's high-tech products import and export situation and the US high technology products import and export situation, it is concluded that the Sino-US are each other important high-tech products trade partner, and the high-tech products of Sino-US continued expansion, and has been in surplus. The high-tech products trade structure of Sino-US is analysis using statistical description method and the ARCA index, it is concluded that in Sino-US trade surplus, high technology products are mainly concentrated in computers and telecommunications products and photoelectric technology products, both have the characteristics of relatively low technology content and added value and processing trade. Through the political economic analysis of trade policy, it can be clarified that the distortion of America's trade policy can influence the trade of high-tech products between China and US; Through calculating the G-L index, it can concluded that China and the United States will appear vertical division on the division of high technology industry field. Because of the political and economic factors America's export control policy could not avoid and eliminate, so it is not good explanation of Sino-US high-tech products surplus. Therefore, the FDI lead to increased processing trade and competitive increase of China high-tech products is more appropriate and then puts forward more development strategies to promote China's high-tech products trade.
