Analysis On The Impact Of Concentration To International Competitiveness Based On Iron-steel Industry

Iron and steel industry is the foundational and strategic industry of the national economy, as our economy grow rapidly in recent years, the demand of steel continue to grow up, China's steel industry has made rapid progress on industrial scale. Although we already became the first producer of the iron and steel in the world, we still keep a long distance to get to the goal of"powerful nation steel and iron", at present, there are still some factor exist and they have the negative influence to our industry, such as unreasonable product mix, low labor productivity, low resources availability and weak technological innovation ability,they are exist to limit international competitiveness enhancement of our country steel and iron industry.By the viewpoint of the SCP theory, the market mechanism is the main determining factor of the market behavior and the market achievements, and make concrete to the steel and iron industry is the same, namely the main reason of the low international competitiveness is the market mechanism problem. Therefore, this article from the perspective of market structure, combined with Porter's diamond model, select the industrial concentration as a measure of index, and take it as a starting point to discover the underlying causes of low international competitiveness, and then to propose a solution from the perspective of industrial concentration to promote China's steel industry and enhance international competitiveness, in order to get a more powerful station.Firstly, I make the introduction for the research of some foreign experts and scholars on the industry concentration and international competitiveness; and then in the second chapter give an overview of the theoretical basis of this study to clear the theoretical basis for selecting concentration as the starting point and a source of international competitiveness ;Three and four status based on the review of steel industry , make the analysis to relevance and impact mechanism of industry concentration and international competitiveness; Finally, based on industry concentration empirical analysis, found the deep impact factors of international competitiveness, and from the perspective of industrial concentration to propose measures to promote the international competitiveness of China's steel industry to get a further improve.
