With the development of Chinese economy, more and more talents abroad choose to develop in their mother country. The returnees'establishing businesses has been becoming a topical issue. Entrepreneur, which is a key point of the economy development, influences one country's economic benefit, innovation level, employment and etc. Recent years, the study on entrepreneur field attracts many scholars'attention and has become a hot interdisciplinary field. The key factor which influences individual making an entrepreneurial choice is entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Therefore the study on the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and entrepreneurial intention (EI) is significant. So this paper takes returnees as its survey objects, and focuses on the relationship between returnees'ESE and El. Moreover, this paper also aims to explore the influence factors influence returnees'ESE, and the relationship among the three variables. In order to make the above research suppositions come true, this thesis built a theoretical model between ESE, its influencing factors and El based on recent studies home and aboard, and then raised the related hypotheses. We developed a questionnaire survey among 157 young and middle aged returnees and 144 native talents who work or study in Shanghai. After the analysis, we obtained the following conclusions:(1) Returnees'personal traits and related environmental persuasion is the influencing factors of ESE, the former two factors directly influence the ESE level; (2) Returnees' ESE is positively related with El, the returnee with higher ESE level will have higher entrepreneurial intention. (3) ESE plays a positive intermediary role in the relationship between personal traits, environmental pervasion, and EI. (4) The returnees'ESE influence on El is significant different from the one of native talents'. As to returnees, environmental persuasion has a more significant influence on ESE. Therefore, returnees' lower level ESE can lead to higher El level, and environmental persuasion factor is the key point to enhance returnees'ESE. The results further made the role of ESE clear in the entrepreneurial field. At the same time, the findings provide a proposal for returnees'ESE development which has an important practical sense in enhancing returnees'El to start their businesses and provide more jobs for our society.
