The Research On The Competition Strategy Of Laizhou Port

As globalization is increasingly affecting the world economy, ports are playing more and more important roles in the development of cites and the surrounding regions as well. Aiming at more business, most ports are joining in an increasingly intensive competition for a larger portion of market. Laizhou Port is one of the many ports, which are developing competition strategies based upon their own advantages and the case-analysis of the on-going situation. With the issue of《The Development Plan Of Eco-efiicient Yellow River Delta Economic Zone》and an urgent demand for a pioneering port to stir the economy growth of the surrounding region, Laizhou port is enjoying a great opportunity for its own boom. Along the coast from Huanghua to Laizhou, Laizhou port is the only one which has a 50 thousand- tons berth and a potential to be built into a port with 100 thansand-tons deep-water berths.This article analyzes the internal and external environment of Laizhou port and then establishes the model for assessing the overall competence by applying BP neural network. Simulations are performed in the NNT toolbox of matlab, which can limit the model error within an expected range by training and testing the programs on selected samples. Finally competence reports are generated for Laizhou port and other ports nearby. And based on this report, we also conduct research on the corresponding competition strategies for Laizhou port.
