The Study On The Sustainable Competitive Advantage Of China's Textile Export Enterprises In The Perspective Of Dynamic Capabilities

The latest economic crisis has caused enormous damage to the global economy. As an important portion of the global economy, China highly relies on the export. Textile export, as a traditional export industry, had been great impaired, and the profits of textile entrepreneurs of scale above have emerged the first negative growth since 2009. As numerous small and medium-sized enterprises had bankruptcy, the challenges of the textile department export facing are unprecedented. However, the global economic crisis is just the fuse of the present dilemma of the textile industry; And the fundamental cause is the weakness of the anti-risk ability of the most entrepreneurs, which induced these entrepreneurs can not cope with the internal and external environment changes, namely these entrepreneurs lack dynamic capabilities.During the last ten years, the theory of dynamic capabilities has gained a series of achievements, but there is a shortage of practical applications. This paper attempts to build dynamic capabilities of textile export enterprises, to enhance their sustainable competitive advantages, which has far-reaching significance for the entrepreneurs both in the current crisis treatment and the long-term development. Firstly, this paper used comparison, conclusion and empirical methodologies, to analyze the current situation and problems of Chinese textile exports. Secondly, on the bases of the theory of dynamic capabilities, this paper mainly applies a combination of theoretical and empirical approach. After analyzing the causes of the current textile export problems, we clarified the connotation of the sustainable competitive advantages and the affecting aspects, in the perspective of dynamic capabilities theory, and also, we demonstrated dynamic capabilities are extremely important to make the textile entrepreneurs quickly adapt to the external and internal environment changes, and enhance the sustainable competitive advantages. In this paper, we build a dynamic capabilities system for the textile industry, which illustrates the bases of the foundation and the operation mechanism of the system. Lastly, we give a successful case(The Youngor Group, a word wide famous textile company from China) of applying dynamic capabilities system, to illustrate how Yongor successfully used applying dynamic capabilities methods to seize opportunities which brought by the environmental changes in its important development stages. Although there are also setbacks for The Youngor Group, on the while it is a successful survivor of the crisis. The successfully applying of the dynamic capabilities theory in the Youngor Group, gives good enlightens to other textile export companies, which could draw lessons from this case to construct their own dynamic capabilities system to handle the quick environmental changes,seize the opportunities, and cope with the current crisis. In this ways, we can ensure the enhancement of sustainable competitive advantage, and a long-term success for the entrepreneurs.
