Zhejiang province, as a developed province in east of China, the construction industry of which has grown rapidly. Today, construction industry in Zhejiang province is in its big time, while, the construction consultant industry does not as well as construction industry. Only two firms could be found on the list of One Hundred Construction Consultant Corporation appraised by Chinese Construction Consultant Association. Hence, the development of construction consultation industry could not keep pace with the construction industry. In details, the problems are small size, simple business scale, poor competence, poor quality of service. Compared with the corporation in developed areas, they have fall behind in service scale, concept, credit, and experience.Firstly, the concept of sustainable competence for construction consultant corporations was put forward after a future illustration of relationship between corporation competence and core competence, as well as an analysis of characters of construction consultant corporations. In competitive market, sustainable competence is the ability to utilize and maintain its resource, in order to continuously provide qualified service to their customs.Secondly, an evaluation model of sustainable competence of construction consultant corporations was developed with the methodology of FAHP, Delphi, and questionnaires. WB corporation was selected as a case to apply the evaluation model.At last, Davis Langdon&Seah and RLB were selected as criteria to do a benchmarking on human resources, knowledge management, project management, brand management. Corporations in Zhejiang Province could compare and learn from benchmarking, cultivate their own sustainable competence.
