Develop rapidly along with the society's economy and improvement of people's living standard, tourism has gradually becomed one of the basic needs of the people's life in recent years. The inbound tourism,which is one of the development emphases in Guangdong's torism, is of great significance in gaining foreign exchange earnings, increasing employment and spuring the economic growth on. Guangdong locates in Southeast of China, with a superior geographical location, advanced economy and rich humanisation enviroment. These all make it to be outstanding in the development of the inbound tourism in China over the years. However,according to the research, it has slowed down in recent years.In This paper, the theories of marketing and tourism marketing are analysed firstly.In the next place,it clarifies the tourism resources of Guangdong, then analyse the number of inbound tourists, the rating rank and growth rate of foreign exchange earnings in China during these few decades. After that,the basic situation and develop trend of inbound tourism in Guangdong are introduced. In the latter part of the paper comes the strategic analysis of SWOT, based on the marketing environment of inbound tourism in Guangdong. Finally, it fractionizes the tourism market in Guangdong, selects the appropriate target market for its development. And according to the practical situation, a marketing strategy is put forward with pertinence.The paper aim to contribute to a renewed and rapid growth of the inbound tourism in Guangdong.
