Research On The Influence Of Outward Economic Growth Pattern To The Industrial Structure Optimization In China

Under the background of low growth in global economy, this study analyzes the merits and demerits of outward economic growth pattern to the industrial structure optimization in China. The research foundation of the study lies in the theories of industrial structure optimization in industrial economics. Comparing those merits and demerits, this study shows that merits are related more to the past history while demerits are related more to the present and future.General conclusion of the study can be drawn as follows. First, although outward economic growth pattern contributed a lot to the industrial structure optimization in China, especially in the practice of reform and opening-up policy in China through the past thirty years, China has to change the outward economic growth pattern in order to achieve further industrial structure optimization, especially under the low growth background of global economy and insufficient domestic demand in China. Second, there are four ways suggested to change the outward economic growth pattern of China through strategic change of foreign trade promotion, strategic change of foreign investment attraction, deepen the reform of the economic system to expand domestic demand, and strict implementation of population policy to reduce domestic employment pressure.
