Manufacturing has always been a leading role in the process of world industrialization. With development of Economic globalization and information revolution, significant changes accrued in international manufacturing sector. Recently, the major industrial countries have developed a variety of development projects to the promote the transfer of traditional manufacturing into advanced manufacturing and to speed up the development of advanced producing, which has become the world's new development trend of manufacturing. The season that leads to the major changes lies in the deepening of scientific, technological revolution, changes in market demand, environmental constraints and the globalization of resources allocation.Research indicates that the manufacturing sector is moving into the modern information-based, service-oriented, high-tech development trend. With the profound changes in economic development, social consumption, consumption structure and consumption market, customer demand are now increasingly diversified and personalized, which turn out to be the fierce competition between companies. Under the new consumer trends and market conditions, the unstable factors of single producing mode and the conflict between the emotional pursue of customer and standardized, uniformed feature of the Mass products consumption have become increasingly serious.Mass customization not only emphasis on customization service, but also has take advantage of the cost and price strength of Mass manufacturing which has become one of the main producing modes to meet market demand of the new consuming environment. The changing market environment of apparel gradually form a buyer's market, diversity and the personality of customer occurs, which has also put forward higher requirements to the traditional garment manufacturing industry. The advanced apparel manufacturing of mass customization attracts attention increasingly and for its unique competitive advantage and become the hot spot of academic research in recent years at the same time.This paper concentrate on the shortage in product development of mass customization, cite methods facing to mass customized clothing, and method that fully reflects the mass customization of features to meet customer's product development-based on the research on Intelligent style design system. This article firstly describes the basic idea of mass customization, the basic principle of competitive advantage for mass customization of clothing and research and application of the status quo, and summed up the competitive edge of MC wearing apparel through the comparison of mass customization of clothing and other apparel manufacturing production, which has become the strong point on the latter part. Secondly, discussed the main form of mass customization, the key technologies demand and the key issue that needs to be solved for product development. Pointed out disadvantages in large-scale clothing Custom product development exists in the current model for the end of this article. Finally, Based on the summery of theory of other scholars on the intelligent clothing style design, use the R & D programming language for the of the Intelligent style design system.The system is designed to address the defects on the low customization, the less customers participate in design and style development process; the slow response to customer orders; Long developing-cycle of the current Mass customized apparel in product development process product. Non-professional users can quickly configure custom product design, or make rapid change of Contributory custom-design under the professional guidance and support through the provision of intelligent design system interface. The system has a lot of convenience features such as intelligent, humane, customized, interactive so as to meet the need of Customers participate in custom design and meet the accurate, well-defined product definition of high efficiency, rapid response to customer demand for customized, rapidly generate custom design. At the same time, this article also cites size data collection methods based on the customer's lifestyle for the theoretical basis of a comprehensive, scientific data acquisition.Hope this paper can be useful for apparel mass customization and product development intelligent design and for the reference of the domestic garment enterprises for mass customization in product development process.
