With the accelerated pace of world economic globalization, knowledge is more and more important in social economy. Access and transmission of explicit knowledge is easier than ever before, which makes tacit knowledge,dealing with and using explicit knowledge effectively,more valuable. Tacit knowledge which is hard to describe and imitate,so to be copied or stolen, is considered to be the basis and source of the core competitiveness. So many scholars began to applicate the study of tacit knowledge in hotel industry in the late 20th century,because of the particularity of the hotel industry,where the academic research is utilized unsufficiently.From the present point of view, domestic and international research on the practice of tacit knowledge is still in a very difficult early stage. This research was set up just because of realizing this phenomenon.This dissertation, based on the above mentioned, discusses the relationship between emotion tacit knowledge and work performance of Hotel frontline employees, in a quantitative and qualitative combined way, from the positive analysis perspective. Firstly, this dissertation discusses the contents of emotion tacit knowledge and work performance of Hotel frontline employees, the same as emotion tacit knowledge affecting work performance process with Grounded Theory, gets the emotion tacit knowledge and work performance relationship modle of Hotel frontline employees in terms of qualitative. Then, checking the model with Hierarchical regression in terms of quantitative to modify the result of qualitative research, and recruit research consequence. We have organized this dissertation into five chapters.Chapter 1, putted the issue of this research forward, expounded the status of the related theories, then explained the necessity, meaning, research purposes, and framework of this research.Chapter 2 reviewed the current literature on tacit knowledge, emotion tacit knowledge, work performance, and the relationship between them.. Chapter 3 is qualitative researeh making hotel frontline employees as the object of study. This section used Grounded Theory in qualitative research after interview. Through the open coding,axial coding and selective coding on the materials, it sumed up the main categorise,core category and story line,then got the emotion tacit knowledge and work performance relationship theoretical modle of Hotel frontline employees.Chapter 4 is quantitative researeh making hotel frontline employees as the object of study. This section used SPSS 16.0 and LISREL8.7 to do reliability analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,descriptive statistics analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,based on the questionnaire survey of emotion tacit knowledge and work performance of hotel frontline employees,exploring the correlation between motion tacit knowledge and work performance of hotel frontline employees, then checking the initial theoretical model and assumptions.Chapter 5, drew a conclusion of this dissertation, gave advice, illuminated the limitation and forecasted.In brief, this dissertation discussed the factors affected the work performance in emotion tacit knowledge perspective in a quantitative and qualitative combined way. Grounded Theory in qualitative research provided factual details for the effect of emotion tacit knowledge to work performance on the Micro-level. At the same time, quantitative analysis checked the initial theoretical model scientifically and systematically which acquired from qualitative research. The two different research paradigms mutual complemented and approved the emotion tacit knowledge affects work performance evidently.However,based on the various aspects of restriction.There are still limitations in this research and lots of work to be done by the follow-up researches. |
