Firstly, this thesis briefly introduced the new development opportunity and corresponding risks of China Transmission & Distribution industry along with the stimulation of Smart Grid Concept. The study roadmap of risk management and current study situation of risk management was also reviewed in brief. Subsequently, the theory of risk management from PMBOK and ISO31000 has been discussed in details, and the project phases along with the risk factors in each phase for the construction project of China Transmission & Distribution have been analyzed and summarized based on the risk evaluation process and methodology stated in the risk management theory. A real case study of Hezhou 500kV series compensation project based on AHP methodology and illegibility risk evaluation methodology as well as the LEC risk evaluation methodology has been performed, and the strategy and suggestion to prevent each level of risk have been brought up. It hopes the studies in this thesis could concludes a common rule for the risk management of China transmission & distribution project, and provide a good reference to the similar project in the future as well as help the local series compensation project provider to establish their own project risk evaluation system.
