The Analysis Of The Financing Efficiency Of The Photovoltaic Industry In Jiangxi Province Based On DEA

Recent years have witnessed a rapid development of photovoltaic industry in Jiangxi Province. The export volume of photovoltaic products has increased from 2.261 million dollars in 2006 to 921 million dollars in 2009. From January to July in 2010. the export volume of photovoltaic industry has amounted to over 758million dollars, taking up 12.1% of the total foreign trade export value throughout Jiangxi Province. The emerging photovoltaic industry has become the most important pillar industry of the industrial economy and foreign trade in Jiangxi, as well as the key power making Jiangxi the pioneer of the six emerging provinces in the Mid-China. Capital as the "blood" of photovoltaic industry is the contributing factor in improving the production and management as well as stimulating the development of photovoltaic industry. The total financing volume of the photovoltaic industry in Jiangxi province is relatively large, but the difficulties, high cost and low efficiency in the financing of some of the companies still exist. If not tackled in time, they will probably hinder the optimizing and upgrading of photovoltaic industry, weakening the industrial competitiveness.The paper first gives a review to the theories and research methods related to financing efficiency. Secondly, the classification and statistics will be carried out from the perspective of financing structure, and the status quo of its financing will be under the initial analysis. Then, DEA will be applied to the construction of BC2 model, which can help the assessment of the financing efficiency of photovoltaic companies in Jiangxi. The conclusion is made as follows:the financing efficiency of the photovoltaic industry in Jiangxi province is relatively low; the financing efficiency within the industry appears to be non-equilibrium. Meantime, the model has analyzed the elements influencing the financing efficiency of companies, based on which, the paper will give suggestions on how to increase the financing efficiency of the photovoltaic industry of Jiangxi province from different perspectives.
